Kurt Howard Eberly of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 53 years old. Kurt was born October 23, 1956 in Abington, Pennsylvania.

Son of Audrey J. Eberly (nee - Davies) and the late Gerald L. Eberly. Brother of Karen Eberly (Steve Flocks) and Joanne Eberly.

Kurt was born and raised in the Willow Grove area and graduated from Upper Moreland High School in 1974. Mr. Eberly had a long career in electronics, most recently working for Acuson, an ultrasound technology company, as their senior design engineer and expert in international electromagnetic compatibility. Previously he worked for Siemens, Philips of Washington State, Interspec and Smith Kline. Kurt’s intense interest in everything electronic began in his youth dismantling the household appliances and shocking his sisters. This interest can be seen in the dozens of computers he built, books he read and the large collection of vintage electronic testing equipment he collected and refurbished. Kurt enjoyed fast cars, dune buggies and other activities that offered risk.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
